Ghanaian musician Nana Adjei is
the chairman of The Hope Project, which is raising money to build a
school for over 60 orphans. 35 of those orphans live in one house, in
just three rooms. The rooms are wall-to-wall bunk beds, but they give
these children a chance to escape a future of crime and a life of poverty.
The couple that runs the orphanage treats the children as their own,
and the orphans look after each other as if they were family. Despite
incredible adversity, the children have positive attitudes and joyful
lives, which are captured in this photoessay. |
