The Devil's Tools

Okay, my German isn't perfect, but I believe that this sign reads something like "Sex and Erotica are Satan's Tools." It's kind of weird to see this in the heart of Berlin, but I guess religious fundamentalists are everywhere worldwide and never stop proselytizing.

You know what I think is Satan's tool? Distraction. Seriously, I have to scroll past Britney's custody battle to find out about a girl forced to perform sexual acts in the backroom of a McDonalds (McDs lost $6.1 in court), and both of those are probably getting way more hits than the power play happening in Pakistan - a country with nuclear weapons. I kind of think sex and erotica are the least of our problems.

Good old German Cars

Hello! I've been silent for a while, mainly because I was with Jason in Germany, where he was shooting a bunch of new photographs. He's giving them to me slowly, but here is one of my favorites. One of the strangest things about Germany was their cars. They had some cars that were so small they could actually park sideways on the street. They almost seemed like toys. This picture captured to me the surreal feeling of being in Europe. Everything is so historic - Jason also photographed a church in Berlin that was bombed during World War II - but at the same time, especially in Berlin, things are very contemporary.

I wonder if people could tell, looking at this picture that it is in Europe and not America. If you can, tell me how in your comments please!
