Your pictures are such great stills of Americana. Of purchases or ways of spending time that make peoples lives pass, but really aren't very alive.
There's a materialism about our culture that you capture, but also this sad but honest two dimensionalism of people's stories that is haunting. Your pictures give a life to some things, like the little goblin statues and writings on a wall, that are truly inanimate. They also take from animate things a certain amount of life that is honest about how many people live.
The experience of America can be such a story of the built enviroment - big and small. You capture that, and how people try to make a life out of it.
