Wow...if you do this, you are definitely going to Hell. I guess I'm a little naive, and someone had to explain that this is how people hide drugs. Jason went on a road trip around California and he is going to be giving me a bunch of new photos. This one is from Fresno, CA.

Hello blogworld! It's been a looooooooooong time since I posted on here - it's because I was gone on vacation, and then it was Thanksgiving. But I'm back! I wanted to come back with a bang, but I think I'll slide in with something peaceful.



Because this is how I feel after almost two weeks of vacation. I'm a sucker for pictures like this, especially when they haven't been photoshopped to death to make them look like a Technicolor Magicland. Just an honest capture of the beauty of our world.

I can't wait to check out all my favorite blogs again...it's been so long. All the blogs I like are on the right side, check them out. And to all my blogger friends, I can't wait to talk to you again.

Oh yes, I am officially on vacation. It's 6:01 and I'm out of here! If it's quiet for a week now, it's because I'm living the blissful life of dreams out there in America. And a new America, now that the Democrats have taken over both houses. In honor of the official election results, here's a picture of a common sighting. Maybe this will be a harder snapshot to find in a few years...

Another music photo today. Have you guys heard of this artist Magnet? His music is awesome, very emotional and lush. I think this picture captures the way he sounds perfectly: dark, sparse, intense.

Voting Day!

I'm about to run home to vote and I'm so excited. I really love voting day. I picked this picture to capture my mood. Doesn't this person look like a teacher you had in 2nd grade? She'd be saying something like "you'll make the smart choice tonight, won't you?" in that tone.

true commitment

I've never been able to get a tattoo because I just can't commit! But I saw this picture and was totally impressed by this person's commitment to rock. A perfect picture to launch the weekend. I love the way Jason captured it, too...

purple day

This is weird, but I've been seeing a lot of bright purple things today. I went to lunch and parked behind a bright purple car. A co-worker left her notebook on my desk, and it's bright purple. And 2 people in the hall were joking because they both wore bright purple shirts on the same day. It's weird when the universe converges on something like that. So I picked the purplest of Jason's photos to show today...and it happens to be Ani Difranco, who I love.

is it just me?

This picture kind of took me by surprise. Is it just me, or is the guy on the left looking at the other guy in a weird way? I started creating this whole story in my head of why he would be looking at him that way, and lots of them had to do with race...I guess even in this day and age, you can't help but think about that first...
