prestige

I saw The Prestige this weekend, having no idea what it was about. I'm a huge Christian Bale fan, but the biggest perk of the movie was definitely seeing DAVID BOWIE do a great Nicolai Tesla. I don't think I've seen him in a movie since Labyrinth. It was awesome. So I've been thinking about magic and science a lot, which brought me to this photograph. It looks like magic to me. And in fact, after thinking about it, I realized that what photographers do is really a form of magic - turning an instant into forever, transporting you from somewhere you never were to somewhere you can experience and imagine.

We must be on the same wavelength. A friend brought me a David Bowie CD this week-end after seeing the words "ziggy stardust" grafittied on my porch....
Instant magic!
