My 50s nostalgia
What I love about this photo is that it has this seedy undertone, but it's such an innocent subject: an old-time drive-in theater, complete with Coca-Cola logos. I miss being a kid and going to the drive-in with my mom. I especially regret that I never made out at one.

Absolutely wonderful! And the drive-ins were seedy, with their gravel driveways and dirt parking mounds, scratchy speakers, free mosquito coils...and always, the worst movies, which were the best, because...well, because that was just part of their friday night charm! love it!
Spookie pic. I remember oily grocery sacks of homemade popcorn and the quiet drive home afterward. For some reason, trips home from the drive-in were the only times that I remember my family occupying the same space without violence.
Slaghammer...violence? Oh no, is that where you got your name? Freudian connection?
Singleton--I totally remember the mosquito coils. They were called "PIC" and they were green. In the ads, the little cartoon mosquitos would be all happy until they got smoked out...
I'm sure Freud would have a field day with me. But my name came from a tool that I used in my iron working years and I still make good use of in art metalworking.
